New School Year

It's that time again!

We have scheduled a planning meeting at Marianne McGregor's house on Friday, August 15th at 9:00 a.m. to discuss everyone's vision for what they would like to get out of our group this year. Marianne has a pool and has said the kids are welcome to bring suits and join in the fun.

Something we need to discuss is finding someone to direct us. We have enough families to form a nice group if we all work together. It will require someone to lead though. Please consider whether or not that someone is you.

We may have a professional art teacher joining us for a class option this year. I know we've all missed Ms. Elaine's awesome classes. Ms. Kimmie Thornhill is considering the position this year.

Please start thinking of things you would like to see or things that you may be interested in teaching. Here are a few ideas I've borrowed from author Julie Forsythe to get you started:

Directions to Mary Ann McGregor's Home-

If you are coming from Mountain Grove you will turn south on Wall Street as if you are going to the Crisis Center.

If you don't know where the Crisis Center is you will exit at the McDonalds exit from 60 and go south towards the square.

At the stop light just before the square you will turn left. I think this is Old 60. Travel just a few blocks until you get to Wall street and turn right.

Pass the railroad tracks and keep going until you get to the next stop sign. That junction will be Wall and Clouse.

Continue south on Wall. Mary Ann lives one mile south on Wall from this intersection on the left side of the road.

You will see a sign out front that reads Heart Side Family Pets. Her home should be on the left.

If you are coming from South 95 heading into Mountain Grove you will turn right at the Sunny Slope School sign which is also called Gumbo Road.

You will come to Morris Road at a stop sign. Keep going on Gumbo until you get to the next stop sign which should be Wall Street. Take a left at the stop sign and travel until you find the home with the sign out front that reads Heart Side Family Pets.

I've never been there personally and have written directions the best that I could from Mary Ann's directions. If you get lost you may call me on my cell 554-1119 and I'll do my best to help you out.

Hope to see you all there-

Joy and blessings,
*Susie Griswold*
